JOURNAL NEWS — Ten fighter jets from the Indonesian Air Force were deployed to escort the departure of Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in East Jakarta on Saturday (November 15, 2025).

President Prabowo Subianto was present to see King Abdullah II off. Both leaders arrived at the airstrip around 12:00 PM local time in a vehicle bearing a “Jordan” license plate.

President Prabowo wore a safari outfit paired with a navy-blue cap, while King Abdullah appeared in his Jordanian military uniform complete with a red beret.

Before boarding the aircraft, the two leaders were seen having a brief conversation as they walked along a blue carpet laid out toward the plane’s stairs. King Abdullah paused for a moment before climbing the steps and exchanged a few final words with President Prabowo.

The fighter-jet escort was part of an official state protocol to honor a visiting head of state on an official trip to Indonesia.
